Facilitation

Facilitation

When it comes to facilitation, it’s not just about pulling the rabbit out of the hat. Interesting material needs to be dove-tailed with creating a collaborative space for ideas and conversation to flow. As Dale Hunter once said, “at our most elemental, we are not a chemical reaction but an energetic charge. Human beings and all things are a coalescence of energy in a field of energy connected to every other thing”. That’s where the real magic lies….

– Art Installation & Exhibition

[1 OBJECT OF MY AFFLICTION]

Based on the work of Melanie Klein, the object of your affection can transpose into the object of your affliction if you experience attachment issues due to Adverse Childhood Events.

Artwork developed through workshops with 18-25-year-old males who were facing homelessness and caught up in addiction due to family trauma. The participants picked the objects and the barbed wire, which represents what they thought was soothing them, but actually led to the very painful road of addiction.

[2 TOAST TO LOVE]

Art installation for Alternative Valentine’s Day Art Exhibition. Participants were invited to discuss chat-up lines and their experience of relationships by writing on Easi Singles slices of cheese. By creating a light atmosphere and joking about cheesy chat-up lines we were able to create a space to explore deeper issues in relationships and how they could be different knowing what they know now. https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/celebrating-the-unloved-at-dublin-s-alternative-valentine-s-event-1.4174029
